Description
Roll-to-roll (R2R) lamination is a continuous manufacturing process essential for producing multi-layered flexible materials, such as those used in electronics, solar cells, and composite products. This process allows for high-speed bonding of materials under controlled conditions, making it critical for efficient and scalable production in various industries. This paper examines the roll-to-roll (R2R) lamination process, analyzing how temperature, compression force, and lamination speed affect adhesion between layers. Using physics-based model and Hertzian contact theory, we simulate temperature and pressure distributions to predict adhesion force, validated by experimental results. The findings provide insights into process optimization for strong adhesion in R2R manufacturing applications.
