Description
Conventional manufacturing faces challenges in real-time monitoring, increasing downtime, and material waste. To address this, a Digital Shadow (DS)-enabled smart dashboard with Augmented Reality (AR) is developed for Hybrid Additive Manufacturing (HAM), integrating Unity, Vuforia, Power BI, and SQL Server to enhance operational efficiency. IoT-enabled sensors capture real-time force and temperature data, displayed on a customized dashboard for predictive insights and anomaly detection. The AR interface overlays live data of machine components, improving operator interaction and reducing manual effort. The system is adaptable to other hybrid and conventional manufacturing setups and economically feasible for small and medium-scale manufacturers (SMEs). Structured user feedback validates its effectiveness, with high ratings in usability, real-time responsiveness, and decision-making support. By digitizing the hybrid setup, this study demonstrates how DS, AR, and smart dashboards advance Industry 4.0, enabling intelligent, adaptive, and user-centric manufacturing.
