Tour Summary - Read carefully prior to registration

You must arrive to BMW Zentrum Museum 30 minutes prior to start of tour with your photo ID or passport and closed toe shoes. Address and parking instructions will be provided to tours registrants. Travel to and from the tour is on your own and not provided by the conference.

This 1.5 hrs. tour of BMW Plant Spartanburg includes the timing to travel between the BMW Zentrum and the Assembly Hall, plus the time spent inside the factory. 

Please note - all tour participants must be 12 years of age or older!

Walk along our assembly line and see for yourself how the Ultimate Driving Machine is Built. This tour begins with the painted body of the vehicle and ends with the completed vehicle driving out of the plant.

The physical size of BMW Plant Spartanburg is approximately 7.0 million square feet with the recent addition of a new body shop, an expansion of the X5/X6 assembly hall, and an expansion of logistics. Current construction includes the expansion of Assembly North (X3/X4 assembly) by 140,000 square feet and renovation/re-tooling of the first-generation X4 body shop.

Currently, BMW Manufacturing produces more than 1,400 vehicles each day. The factory is the global producer of BMW X3, X4, X5 and X6 Sports Activity Vehicles and Coupes (and their variants) to more than 140 global markets.

At the BMW Group, the health and safety of our associates, business partners, and customers are our top priority. Therefore, we have put special measures in place to help keep all guests safe both during and after your tour.

• All guest MUST arrive 30 minutes prior to the set tour departure time to check in for their tour at the BMW Zentrum.
• Guests 18 and older must present a picture ID upon arrival for a scheduled tour. Acceptable photo IDs include a government-issued photo ID, driver's license, or passport. If you have any questions on acceptable photo ID, please email NAMRCMSEC@clemson.edu for assistance.
• Tour participants must be 12 years of age or older, with proof of age required at check-in.
• For your safety, completely enclosed shoes, like a sneaker, are required to tour our facility. No flip-flops, high heels, opened toe, open side, or opened heel shoes are permitted. You will NOT be permitted on the tour if your shoes do not meet the guidelines. No Exceptions!
• Phones, cameras and camera phones are not permitted inside the plant. Cell phones must be turned off during the tour. Please leave personal belongings locked in your vehicle.
• Tour participants will walk a distance of approximately 1.25 miles.

If you opt-in to the tour, the email used during conference registration will be sent a link to complete additional information required to attend the tour, including:

• First name as it appears on your photo ID or passport
• Last/Family name as it appears on your photo ID or passport
• Date of Birth
• Country of residence
• PDF of waiver to sign and return

If this information is not completed by May 30, 2025, your reservation will be automatically canceled and opened to other registrants. Automatically canceled reservations will be refunded 50% of the cost of the tour. The standard conference cancellation policy will apply if you request to cancel the BMW tour portion of your conference registration and your information is successfully submitted. Tour cancelations or no-shows after June 23, 2025, will not be eligible for a refund.
